Active Learning In Foundation Stage 1.

11th May 2021

Learning in Foundation Stage 1 continues to be exciting and practical both at

home and at school. The children portray a good understanding of different

scientific processes exploring using all senses and understanding that equipment

and tools have to be used safely. Using available resources creatively, the children

are able to build and apply understanding - such as sorting, counting and

comparing shoes!

As we encourage children to always be willing to have a go in carrying out

different activities/ roles both at home and at school, such as helping dad wash

the car embeds the value of being responsible and helpful.

“Learning is more effective when it is an active rather than a passive process”
